Mixed Nuts Jorim (Soy Braised Nuts)



  1. If the nuts are raw, wash them under running water.
  2. Put them all in a pot, pour just enough water to submerge them, and boil for 10 minutes (to wash debris and for tender texture).
  3. Dispose of water and submerge the nuts in fresh water again.
  4. Pour 1 1/2cup of soy sauce and boil on high heat. Adjust time
  5. depending on how your preference on the tenderness of the nuts.
  6. When you see the soy sauce being reduced, pour 1 cup of honey and 1.5 sp of brown sugar and leave it until the liquid dissolves.
  7. You will notice the shine on the nuts.
  8. Turn the heat off and put 2 sp of sesame seed and mix them altogether.
